Day 1 – Check-In and Luxor East Bank Sightseeing

On arrival in Luxor, one of our tour representatives will be standing by to meet you at the airport or the train station. They will then escort you in a modern air-conditioned vehicle to board the Movenpick Royal Lily Nile Cruise which is quite literally like a floating hotel.

After check-in on board the boat, lunch will be served, and then the sightseeing begins in one of Egypt’s most famous tourist destinations.

Today will see you visiting Luxor’s East Bank to see the vast ancient Karnak Temple complex that was built and added to by numerous pharaohs over a period of around 2,000 years. You will then head to another famous historical attraction, the spectacular Luxor Temple.

After an afternoon of sightseeing on the East Bank, you will head back to the Royal Lily in time for a lovely onboard dinner, after which you will have the rest of the evening to yourself. Spend the first night of your cruise on the tranquil waters of the Nile at Luxor.

Day 2 – West Bank Sightseeing and Transit to Esna and Edfu

Wake up to a delicious breakfast in the Movenpick Royal Lily Nile Cruise’s spacious dining area, and then it will be time to disembark for another breathtaking experience, a tour of the West Bank where you will visit two of Egypt’s most famous ancient sites: the Valley of Kings and the terraced rock Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahri .

After visiting these two unforgettable attractions you will return to the Royal Lily for lunch, and it will begin sailing along the Nile towards Edfu, via Esna.

Enjoy afternoon tea along the way, and take in the passing scenery from your vantage point on the water. Dinner will be served onboard at Edfu where you will be spending another night on the quiet waters of the Nile.

Day 3 – Edfu to Kom Ombo and On To Aswan

Enjoy another good breakfast on the water, and then disembark for another fascinating experience, a visit to the famous Edfu Temple of Horus. This is another site which is featured in nearly all sightseeing cruises.

Everyone will then return to the boat, and you will be served lunch and afternoon tea as it sails to Kom Ombo where you will once again disembark for a visit to the ancient Kom Ombo Temple that was built to honor two gods, Sobek and Haeroris.

After what is a relatively short visit to this temple, you will return to the boat, and it will set sail for Aswan where you will enjoy another good dinner and a comfortable night’s rest on the quiet waters of the Nile.

Day 4 – Aswan Sightseeing

Day 4 of your 5-Day Luxor to Aswan Nile cruise will once again begin with a hearty onboard breakfast.

After breakfast, you will disembark and you be taken to visit the incredibly impressive Aswan High Dam, followed by a visit to the massive Unfinished Obelisk. After visiting these two historical sites you will return to the Movenpick Royal Lily in time for another splendid onboard lunch.

The remainder of the day is open so that you can enjoy it as you wish. Lounge on the spacious sundeck; cool off in the huge pool, enjoy a spa, or simply relax in your cabin. Afternoon tea and dinner will be served on board, and you will spend the last night of your cruise aboard your MS river cruiser on the Nile at Aswan.

Day 5 – Disembarkation and Transfer to Airport or Railway Station

With four unforgettable days of sightseeing behind you, your Mövenpick adventure on the Nile has come to an end. Enjoy one last breakfast on board the Movenpick Royal Lily Nile Cruise; say goodbye to friends you have made along the way, and then it will be time for you to disembark.

Upon disembarkation, one of our tour representatives will once again be there to meet you, and to escort you in a modern air-conditioned vehicle to Aswan Airport or Aswan Railway Station. Alternatively, we can also drop you off at a hotel if you intend staying in Aswan a bit longer.

What is not included in your Movenpick Royal Lily travel package:

• Pre-Arrival and Post-Departure Travel – Tour price does not include travel to Luxor or onward travel from Aswan.
• Tipping – Tour price does not include money for tipping guides, waitresses, waiters, and etc. Tipping is not required or expected, but always appreciated if you feel it is well-deserved.
• Extras – Tour price does not include the cost of optional Mövenpick services such as massages, spas, beauty treatments and etc.
